Privacy notice

How we collect, use and protect your personal information when you register for NYES 2026.

1. What we collect

We collect the details you enter when registering: your name, contact details, date of birth, location, identity or passport number, an optional photo, supporting documents and, for organisations, company details. We also record technical data (IP address, browser) for security.

2. Why we use it

To process and verify your registration, issue your event badge, manage entry and safety at the venue, send service messages (one-time codes, approval and event updates), and prepare anonymised reports for organisers and partners.

3. How it is protected

Identity numbers are encrypted at rest. Uploaded documents are stored privately and only accessible to authorised staff, whose access is logged. Badge QR codes carry no personal data — only a secure random token.

4. Communications

You will always receive essential messages about your registration. Optional event news is sent only if you tick the communications box, and you can opt out at any time by contacting us.

5. Sharing

We do not sell personal data. Limited information may be shared with venue security, accreditation partners and service providers (such as SMS and e-mail delivery) strictly to run the event.

6. Retention & your rights

Registration data is kept for as long as needed to run and report on the event, then deleted or anonymised. You may request access, correction or deletion of your data by writing to info@nyes2026.zw.

This notice is illustrative and subject to confirmation by the organisers.
